Bugfixes - October 12, 2022


Bugfixes

  • Win/lose stinger play properly
  • Arena music no longer double plays when you restart
  • Fixed bug where you heard the victory music if last enemy died before you
  • You can no longer win the game after losing if the last enemy dies after you lose
  • Fix bug where enemy explosion sounds were not playing (didn't post sound event to actor after swapping for static mesh)
  • No longer repeatedly spams collision sounds and VFX when you stay in contact with an enemy or wall
  • Fixed "Hard to make out the music with all the noise" (player feedback)

Enhancements

  • Added separate player sound events (still need to be mixed)
  • WIP audio mixing of sound/music

Outstanding issues

  • Performance stutters really badly
  • Dead cars lose their vehicle movement component so they sink into the ground with their wheels clipping into the ground
  • Plays the wall collide and and particles when hitting a dead car
  • AI is too suicidal, they keep driving into the lava
  • Enemy UI should not target dead enemies
  • Have to fill in the volume for all car physics assets (so they don't have a gap in the center)
  • Have to lower the threshold for ramming cars to kill them, too difficult to hit 100 or it's not registering and is a bug?
  • When you fall into lava, it should disable car input and hide the car mesh and freeze the car position (so camera doesn't keep going down?) instead of teleporting or destroying the actor
  • When ramming another car, sometimes it kills you even though it doesn't seem like the other car was going fast
  • Bomb colliding with the car counts as a wall sound and it goes crazy. Shouldn't play any sound
  • Enemy AI just "stops" sometimes
